Your tour will take you to the breathtaking Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, to view stunning rock formations. Afterwards you will visit spectacular sites such as God's Window, Wonderview, Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck Potholes. You will visit the sleepy old mining town of Pilgrim's Rest, which has been lovingly preserved since the gold rush and is now a National Monument. Your day will not be complete without a visit to some of the most beautiful and refreshing waterfalls of the region. Endangered Wildlife TourEnjoy an educational trip to a centre which contributes to the conservation of endangered species and the rehabilitation of injured and poisoned wildlife. You will visit the world-renowned Moholoholo rehabilitation centre and witness the techniques used on a variety of birds and animals. Get up close and personal for a unique interaction experience with the vultures!!! After lunch you will visit Kapama Game Reserve for a tour of the breeding and research station. Kapama has several resident endangered species, including Wild Dog, the rare King Cheetah and Aardwolf. Sabi Sand Night Safari and Boma DinnerDepart mid afternoon for an evening of adventure. You will enter the famous Sabi Sand Reserve to arrive at a private Lodge where tea, coffee and biscuits will be served. As you head off into the bush, your ranger will share the beauty and intrigue of the African Bush with you. He will also share some of the myths and beliefs of times gone by, pointing out various interesting medicinal and herbal plants and shrubs. Naturally game viewing en route, stopping for birds, and all things bush. As the light dims, you will stop for sundowners, and your ranger will prepare the vehicle for nightfall, which will involve spotlight driving back to the lodge, looking for the unusual nocturnal wildlife, which one is sure to encounter. On arrival back at the lodge, time to freshen up and get settled for a typical South African Boma dinner around the ever-indulging campfire. After dinner, settle cash bar account, and start heading back to Dreamfields Guesthouse. Sabi Sand Morning Drive and Boma BreakfastThe itinerary is much the same as that of the Night Safari & Boma Dinner. As the morning breaks you will head back to the lodge for a scrumptious brunch, after which you may laze around the pool, or take a short walk with your ranger getting that much closer to the ground. Kruger Park Morning Walking SafariYour walk takes place in the world famous Kruger National Park where a National Parks Ranger is ready to introduce you to a number of skills such as tracking, the use of plants and trees in medicine, as well as bird and animal identification. Walks are conducted in an area that is renowned for its rhino population, which makes a "Big 5" sighting a realistic possibility. A short game drive to and from the walking area adds to the thrill of the day. Kruger Park Sunset SafariExperience the thrill of the African bush as day changes to night in the Kruger National Park . In the company of an expert National Parks Ranger, your safari begins whilst you savour the beautiful African sunset. You may pack a small cooler box for sundowners en-route. SkywaytrailsExperience the freedom of gliding over one of the last remaining natural forested valleys along the Sabie River. The aerial cable trail allows guests to glide down to the valley basin, stopping along the way on a number of elevated platforms to admire the natural vegetation, birdlife and views of the forest floor below. Each section of the trail varies in length from 70 to 230 metres linking a total of 10 platforms, making this the longest cable trail in Africa (1,2km). The trail has been designed and built to South African civil engineering standards and all the equipment has been designed specifically for this activity and tested worldwide. Balloons over AfricaEnjoy a flight in an Hot Air Balloon and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The launch site is situated just where the foothills of the mountains begin, and the balloon floats over small hills and hidden valleys. The distant views to the west are of the mountains – God’s Window is clearly visible from the “other side”. The views to the east are of the land gradually flattening out towards the horizon, with the Sabie River winding it’s way towards the sunrise. The vegetation is a mix of riverine forest, indigenous bush and fruit orchards, and the sub-tropical climate ensures that the area is green and lush almost all year round.
