Sefapane is situated only 1 km from the Phalaborwa Gate, the central gate to the Kruger National Park. The lodge The lodge is on a beautiful parcel of unspoiled bushveld, with dense and abundant gardens and 4 dams. It has an ‘African style’ combined with luxury, which gives you a home away from home feeling as well as a great ‘bush’ experience. Rooms The 4-star luxury lodge consists of 31 fully serviced, traditional ‘African style’ thatched rondavels. The rondavels, situated under shady trees, are fitted with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom. There are also 17 excellent safari houses which have a spacious lounge with satellite TV, fully equipped open plan kitchen, 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, guest bathroom, a loft with 3rd bedroom and a private wooden deck and is 160m². The houses are situated around the dam, where there is brilliant birdlife. The safari houses are suitable for 4 to 10 persons, self catering, but also able to use all the lodge facilities. Room Descriptions All rondavels have twin beds, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, alarm clock, hairdryer, air-conditioning, private veranda and private parking. A Standard Rondavel is 36m² and a Deluxe Rondavel is 40m². 3 Deluxe Family rondavels have 3 bedrooms and 1 sharing bathroom with bath, shower and toilet (sleeps 6) All rondavels are situated amidts tropical gardens, some have a view of the dam. The luxury self-catering safari houses have a spacious lounge with satellite TV, fully equipped open plan kitchen. 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, guest bathroom, a loft with 3rd bedroom and a private wooden deck and is 160m². All houses are privately situated around the dam in a bushveld setting.   
Attractions Activities Sefapane Lodge & Safaris organizes safaris within the Kruger National Park guided by experienced FGASA qualified guides and in special designed game viewing safari vehicles. The morning, day and evening safaris as well as the evening bush braais in the Kruger park, river safaris, bush walks and mountain-bike tours are all conducted under the guidance of experienced rangers. We have day excursions to the Blyde River Canyon, an animal rehab centre and a cultural village tour. There are fishing options in our dam and bird watching options on our property. The well-known 18-holes Hans Merensky Golf Course plus the centre of Phalaborwa is only a few minutes’ drive away from Sefapane Lodge. Evening Safari (Summer: 17h00-20h00hrs; winter: 16h30-19h30) A game drive with an open 4x4 vehicles into the sunset. After sundowners, when the night falls, we look for nocturnal animals with spotlights. With sundowner drink and snacks during the drive. Evening Safari with Bushbraai or Braai at Lodge (Summer: 17h00-21h30hrs; Winter: 16h30-21h00) A game drive with open 4x4 vehicle into the sunset. After sundowners, when the night falls, we look for nocturnal animals with spotlights. In the bush: the traditional braai is served around the campfire at a private location in the Kruger National Park. A minimum of 8 persons apply. Or at the lodge: after your drive a traditional braai is served at the Lodge. Full Day Safari (05h45-16h00) Set out at dawn for a full day of game viewing in an open 4x4 vehicle with an experienced guide in search of the wildlife. This includes a picnic breakfast and lunch in the bush. Morning Safari (06h00-12h00hrs) Set out at dawn for a safari in an open 4x4 vehicle with an experienced guide in search of the wildlife. This includes picnic breakfast in the Kruger National Park. River Safari (07h15 – 11h30hrs) (Summer: 14h15-18h30hrs; winter: 13h45 – 18h00) Enjoy a cruise along the banks of the Olifants River, amongst hippos, crocodiles and a variety of other drinking game and birds. Coffee and cake, water and juice are provided on the cruise. Bike safari, MORNING OR SUNSET (Summer: 05h00-09h00hrs; Winter: 05h30-09h30) (Summer: 15h30-18h30hrs; Winter: 15h00-18h00) Two experienced game rangers will guide you on a mountain bike through the bush for a close encounter with Kruger National Park’s wildlife. In the morning this includes a picnic breakfast in the bush and in the afternoon this includes a sundowner drink and snacks in the bush. Bushwalk, MORNING (Summer: 05h00-09h00hrs; Winter: 05h30-09h30) Two experienced game rangers will guide you through the bush for a close encounter with Kruger National Park’s wildlife. This includes a picnic breakfast in the bush. Bushwalk, SUNSET (Summer: 15h30-18h30hrs; Winter: 15h00-18h00) Two experienced game rangers will guide you through the bush for a close encounter with Kruger National Park’s wildlife. This includes a sundowner drink and snacks in the bush. Culture & Village Tour (09h00-12h30hrs) (14h00-17h30hrs) Experience the African culture. This interesting tour takes you to villages in the Phalaborwa area where various aspects of authentic and modern day of Africa will be highlighted. Panorama Route-Blyde River Canyon (07h00-16h00) Spend a full day discovering some of South Africa's most spectacular scenery. This tour will take you to the Blyde River Canyon with spectacular sites such as God's Window, Three Rondavels and Bourke's Luck Potholes. Graskop and Pilgrim's Rest are on the itinerary as well (including entrance fees, excluding lunch). Animal Rehabilitation Tour (08h00-17h00) The Moholoholo Rehabilitation center in Hoedspruit offers you a unique change to learn about wildlife and conservation while experiencing the animals up close. See cheetahs, wild dogs, ground hornbills, lions, birds of prey and even leopards! The afternoon is spent in the spectacular Swadini area visiting the Blyde Dam. (Including entrance fees, excluding lunch). OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS & SOFT ADVENTURE Golf at Hans Merensky Country Club Enjoy playing a game of golf at the 18-holes Hans Merensky Golf Course, where the game of the Kruger National Park is often seen!
