In the heart of the wild frontier you will find Maroela Chalets. This delightful thatched self catering accommodation is situated in a 3000 HA reserve adjoining the southern border of the famous Kruger National Park. Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate is only a drive of 15 minutes away. The region (Mpumalanga) borders Mozambique and Swaziland with Maputo only an hour away.

Spectacular wildlife viewing can be experienced right from your doorstep at the Chalets as wildlife roams freely in this beautiful reserve.

Location

Maroela Chalets are situated a 100km from Nelspruit towards Mozambique. Daily flights are also available from Johannesburg to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) an hour drive from the reserve.

Accommodation

CHALET 1: Sleeps six. Upstairs you have two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Also a toilet with wash hand basin. Downstairs you have a bunk-bed, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.  Outside on your own private wooden deck you have a filtered splash-pool and barbeque facilities. We  supply bedding and bath towels. The chalet has fans and aircon.

CHALET 2 + 3: Sleeps four. Consists of two bedrooms, each with two built-in single beds. Two bathrooms, one en-suite and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside on your own private wooden deck you have a filtered splash-pool and barbeque facilities. We  supply bedding and bath towels. The chalet has fans and aircon. 

CHALET 4: Our honeymoon suite consists of a bedroom with double bed  and a sleeper couch in the  lounge area. Lovely bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Outside on your own private wooden deck you have a splash-pool and barbeque facilities. We supply bedding and bath towels. The chalet has fans and aircon.

Waterfalls

Berlin Falls

Close to God's Window, north of Graskop, are the mighty Berlin Falls. This national monument is 45m high. A special observation platform has been built to view this natural wonder. The falls can be reached by means of a trail along the river where the water from the Berlin Creek falls over 150 m into a large pool.

Lisbon Falls

At 92m the Lisbon Falls are the highest falls in the area. The Lisbon River plunges down in a double stream over a semicircular rock face. There is a 100-meter footpath leading from the parking area to a vantage point at the base of the falls for a really spectacular view. These falls are located just north of Graskop and three kilometers to the south of the Berlin Falls.

Mac Mac Falls

The Mac-Mac Falls are one of the most photographed and unusual sites in the lowveld area. The Mac-Mac River plummets down 65 meters. The Mac-Mac pools, to the south of the falls, consist of a series of rocky basins filled with water. Swimming is permitted. There is a lovely picnic sight two kilometers beyond the falls.
