Thanda Nani offers a unique wildlife experience. The reserve has a breeding program where rare and endangered species like Sable and Roan antelope are bred before being released on the main reserve, disease free buffalo also roam the reserve with over 150 white and Black Rhinos - making it the largest private collection of Rhinos in the world! Herds of Eland, Red Hartebeest, Tssesebe, Zebra, Giraffe, Kudu, Impala and Blue Wildebeest roam freely. The more elusive Bushbuck, Nyala and Duiker can also be seen while baboon, monkey, Ostrich and Warthog are in abundance. Leopard, Jackal and the other smaller cats, i.e. Serval, Genet, are spotted occasionally. Bush Babies and over 50 bird species are found around the lodge. The Lodge comprises of 10 Chalets each sleeping two people. The Chalets are comfortable thatched rondawels, inspired by traditional African homes and named after the animals on the propety. These rounded cottages evoke the true spirit of the bushveld. All chalets are thatched, have en-suite facilites and air-conditioning. Accommodation The Lodge is set in a natural forest and has 30 luxury en-suite twin bed chalets, each sleeping 2 people sharing. All chalets have thatched roofs and air-conditioning. There are also 4 standard and 1 family chalet. Some of the chalets are inspired by traditional African homes and named after the animals on the propety. These rounded cottages evoke the true spirit of the bushveld. Across a wooden bridge from the main camp, are the Roan and Sable luxury suites with two en-suite bathrooms in each unit and a private verandah with views of the bush and tea and coffee-making facilities. This is the perfect place to unwind!!!  
AttractionsActivities Morning and afternoon Game Drives are available at Thanda Nani. Stop by the dam to catch a glimpse of hippo and crocodile, as the herds come down to drink. Early morning bushwalks, 2-3 hrs duration are conducted by experienced rangers and can be booked at the lodge. Game Viewing at Thanda Nani: Approximately 6 500 hectares of flat viewing grounds, includes the following species: Black Rhino, White Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, Sable Antelope, Roan Antelope, Eland, Tsessebe, Gemsbok, Reedbuck, Giraffe, Kudu, Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Nyala, Bushbuck, Hartebeest, Impala, Ostrich, Zebra, Warthog, Hippo, Crocodiles and a large variety of birds. DirectionsThanda Nani is an easy four to five hour drive from Johannesburg. The Lodge Gates are 11 km's east of Malelane on the N4 Toll Road, the Witbank to Maputo route.
Turn Right at the Thanda Nani Game Lodge sign, enter through the gates and follow the graded dirt road approximately two kiliometres to the lodge
